How Do You Take a Full-Page Screenshot on iPhone?
To take a full page screenshot on your iPhone, take a screenshot normally, then tap the thumbnail in the corner and select Full Page. Your phone captures the entire scrollable page and saves it as a PDF to your Files app — not to your Photos. No extra apps required. This guide walks you through how to take a full page screenshot on iPhone step by step.
Watch: Full Page Screenshot on iPhone
In this J's Tech Corner tip, Jameson from NorthWoods Wireless walks you through the full page screenshot feature step by step — using the iPhone News app so you can see exactly how it works. Watch the video, then follow the written steps below.
What Is a Full Page Screenshot?
A regular screenshot captures only what is visible on your screen in that moment. A full page screenshot captures everything — the entire scroll from top to bottom — and saves it as a PDF directly to your Files app.
The steps are the same for most Apple apps and many third-party apps that support the feature.
How to Take a Full Page Screenshot on iPhone (Step by Step)
Taking a full page screenshot on iPhone takes about five seconds once you know where to look.
Start by taking a screenshot the way you normally would — press the side button and volume up button at the same time on Face ID iPhones, or the home button and side button on older models. A small thumbnail will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. Tap it before it disappears.
At the top of the screen you will see two tabs: Screen and Full Page. Tap Full Page. Your iPhone will capture the entire scrollable page. When you are ready to save it, tap Done and choose Save PDF to Files. Pick a folder and tap Save.
That is it. Your full page screenshot is saved as a PDF in your Files app.
Where Does a Full Page Screenshot Save?
Full page screenshots save as PDFs to the Files app — not to your Photos app. To find them later, open Files, go to the folder you saved it in, and tap the file to view the complete captured page.
Which iPhone Apps Support Full Page Screenshots?
The Full Page option appears in Safari, the Apple News app, Mail, and a number of other apps. If you take a screenshot and do not see the Full Page tab, the app you are using may not support it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does full page screenshot work on all iPhones?
The full page screenshot feature is available on iPhones running iOS 13 or later. If you have a relatively recent iPhone, it is already available on your device.
Why does my full page screenshot save as a PDF instead of a photo?
Full page screenshots capture more than a single screen, so iPhone saves them as PDFs to your Files app. You can open, view, and share them from there just like any other file.
Can I take a full page screenshot on Android?
Android phones have a similar scrolling screenshot feature, though the steps vary by device and manufacturer. Stop in at NorthWoods Wireless and we can show you how it works on your specific phone.
